Reliability and Availability Targets

Firm power implies high availability; MetroVolt’s reliability is a fleet-stage target validated across the FOAK–NOAK–BOAK ladder.

Firm means available

A firm-power generator must run when needed — high availability, few unplanned outages, predictable maintenance. For a data center or city, availability is as important as peak output. MetroVolt’s continuous-fuel, non-weather-dependent design supports high availability in principle; achieving it in practice is a maturity question.

Reliability is not a design-stage claim. A FOAK unit will show more variability and need more maintenance than a mature BOAK unit. Availability figures are legitimately fleet-stage targets, validated stepwise as the build ladder retires failure modes and stabilizes maintenance.

How availability is earned

Continuous fusion and direct conversion give MetroVolt an inherent path to firmness — no fuel intermittency, no weather. But inherent capability is not demonstrated availability. The honest figure is: firmness by design, availability by maturity.
