A loop that compounds

Open science is not a single act but a cycle. A result is published; others try to refute or reproduce it; the design is corrected where they succeed; trust accrues where it survives; and the improved, trusted result is published again. Each turn of this loop leaves the work more useful and more credible than the last.

Why the loop serves people

The flywheel matters to a humanity-facing mission because it is how honest progress actually happens in a field this hard. No single team can get fusion right in one pass. The loop distributes the checking across many minds and compounds partial results into a durable base others can rely on.

• Publish openly — data, code, and the frozen design
• Invite refutation — pre-registered, falsifiable predictions
• Correct the design — including publishing negative results
• Earn trust — so the next result is believed on evidence, not assertion
