Kronos designs and operates so that its capabilities strengthen, rather than strain, the nonproliferation regime.

A commitment, stated plainly

Kronos is committed to nonproliferation. The company produces tritium, helium-3, and 14 MeV neutrons for civilian and lawful defense purposes, and it designs its facilities so that these materials are accounted for, contained, and transparent. It does not develop, publish, or assist weapons design, and it treats any content in that direction as strictly out of scope.

How the commitment is operationalized

Where fusion helps

Fusion isotopes can actively support nonproliferation: helium-3 is a premier material for neutron detection at borders and ports, and a domestic, civilian supply reduces reliance on constrained sources. Framed this way, the program is a contributor to the nonproliferation regime rather than a stress on it. Kronos states this at the level of principle; it does not detail sensitive applications and does not name defense affiliations.

Nonproliferation is inseparable from the readiness posture: a capability that cannot be operated transparently is not, in this program's view, ready to be built.
