Vision, not specification. This page describes a future that fusion could help make possible — not a product promise, forecast, or performance claim. The Kronos machines today are design and simulation studies: the breeder (Hyperion) and the burner (Aegis / MetroVolt). No hardware net-gain has been demonstrated; construction of the first breeder is planned to begin in Q2 2027, with first-of-a-kind first tritium targeted around 2030.
The line we draw
Every page in this section describes a future that fusion could help make possible. This page draws the line the other way — it lists what is deliberately not claimed — because a vision without stated limits is just marketing, and marketing is not what this project runs on.
We do not claim the machines work yet
The breeder (Hyperion) and the burner (Aegis / MetroVolt) are design and simulation studies. No hardware net-gain has been demonstrated. Construction of the first breeder is planned to begin in Q2 2027, with first-of-a-kind first tritium targeted around 2030. Everything in this vision is contingent on that engineering succeeding, which is not guaranteed.
We do not claim fusion does it alone
Renewables do the bulk of grid decarbonization in this picture; fusion is the firm complement, not a replacement. Carbon drawdown, ocean recovery, and biodiversity depend on countless actors and choices. Kronos’s honest role is as one enabling input — clean firm energy — not as the author of the whole outcome.
We do not make economic claims

- Frozen technical numbers are stated with their real conditions, never inflated.
