The Published Papers and Their DOIs

The breeder analysis is deposited publicly on Zenodo with citable DOIs, so the record has a permanent address independent of any Kronos-controlled website.

Permanent, citable, external

The breeder (Hyperion) design-and-simulation record is deposited on Zenodo, an open repository operated by CERN. A Zenodo deposit has a persistent DOI, a fixed content hash, and a public landing page that does not depend on Kronos infrastructure. If this website disappeared, the record would remain.

What a DOI does and does not guarantee

A DOI guarantees that a specific set of files is permanently retrievable and unambiguously named. It does not, by itself, guarantee peer review or correctness. Those are separate processes. The DOI is the anchor that lets peer review, reproduction, and correction all point at exactly the same bytes.

Depositing externally also removes a conflict of interest from the record's permanence. A claim hosted only on a company site can be edited or withdrawn by that company; a Zenodo deposit cannot be altered without leaving a public version record. For a program asking to be taken on the strength of its openness, putting the primary record beyond its own reach is the point, not a technicality.

How to use them

Cite the version DOI when a claim depends on a specific number, so the reference is unambiguous even after later corrections. Cite the concept DOI when referring to the breeder work in general. See How to Cite Hyperion for exact formats.

This page describes a design-and-simulation study, not a built machine. Construction of the breeder (Hyperion) begins Q2 2027; first-of-a-kind first tritium is targeted near 2030. No hardware net-gain claim is made before FOAK.
