Peer Review and Publication Venues

Open deposit is the floor, not the ceiling; the breeder work is offered to external peer review, and the record distinguishes deposited-and-citable from peer-reviewed.

Two independent forms of scrutiny

Depositing on Zenodo makes the breeder (Hyperion) record permanent and citable, but a DOI is not peer review. The two are separate and complementary: the deposit lets anyone reproduce the arithmetic; peer review has domain experts scrutinize the assumptions, methods, and conclusions. The record pursues both and labels the status of each work honestly.

Where the work is directed

Honest labeling of status

A work that is deposited but not yet peer-reviewed is described exactly that way; peer review, where completed, is noted. The record does not present a preprint as if it were a reviewed article. This distinction matters to a reader weighing how much external validation a given claim has received.

Peer review and reproduction catch different failures. A reproducer can confirm that the published numbers follow from the inputs and code yet miss a flawed assumption that a domain expert would challenge on sight; a reviewer can flag a questionable assumption yet never rerun a line. The breeder program treats the two as complementary filters and does not let passing one stand in for the other.

This page describes a design-and-simulation study, not a built machine. Construction of the breeder (Hyperion) begins Q2 2027; first-of-a-kind first tritium is targeted near 2030. No hardware net-gain claim is made before FOAK.
