Mission assurance is the discipline of guaranteeing that mission-essential functions continue under stress. Power is foundational: command, communications, sensors, and life-safety all fail without it. Treating power as a mission-essential function means designing, testing, and operating it to the same assurance standard as the mission itself.
What assurance requires
- Identifying which loads are mission-essential and their tolerance to interruption.
