Every generator produces some waste heat. The burner's is small, but rather than always rejecting it to air, a co-located facility can capture it for useful purposes. Low-grade heat is valuable for space heating, hot water, and some industrial processes.

Why co-location makes reuse practical
Waste-heat reuse fails when the generator is far from any heat user. Because MetroVolt can be sited next to a data center or within a city, its residual heat has nearby customers. The same water-light, load-adjacent siting that defines MetroVolt also makes heat reuse feasible.
Water relevance
Reusing residual heat reduces even the small amount that would otherwise be rejected to air, and it does so without any water. It is the opposite of a cooling tower: instead of spending water to throw heat away, the heat is delivered to a use. This deepens, rather than complicates, the water story.
Honest scope
Heat reuse depends on nearby demand and on grade of heat, and is an option rather than a requirement. The burner functions fully by rejecting residual heat to air. Reuse is an available enhancement that the load-adjacent, dry-cooled architecture happens to enable.
