Resilience as a design goal

Supply resilience means a capability keeps working when one source fails. For strategic isotopes, resilience comes from having more than one production route, keeping at least one under domestic control, and being able to produce on demand rather than waiting on a byproduct stream. Complement, not replacement

Resilience is not about replacing established suppliers; it is about not depending on any single one. The breeder is positioned to complement existing facilities, adding capacity and a different production physics so that a disruption to one route does not halt a mission.

Honest scope

The breeder is a design and simulation study, with construction from Q2 2027 and first tritium targeted near 2030. Its contribution to resilience is described here as a pathway, publicly and without economics or allocation detail.

Resilience is not a slogan; it can be assessed.
