Burner MetroVolt Housing

MetroVolt is the burner packaged for data centers, delivering the tandem-mirror generator as an on-site power source.

The data-center configuration

MetroVolt is the burner configured for data centers. As with Aegis, the reactor itself is unchanged: the same deuterium-helium-3 tandem-mirror generator with the same central cell, high-field plugs, expanders, and direct-energy converters. What differs is the housing, siting, and integration suited to supplying a data center's power demand.

Why on-site generation

Data centers need large, steady, reliable power, and a compact generator that can sit near the load reduces dependence on the surrounding grid. The direct-energy converter's ability to produce electricity without a full thermal cycle is part of what makes the burner attractive for this role. The model presents the generation principle; it carries no economic or performance-per-site claims.

In the model

Selecting the MetroVolt housing shows the burner in its data-center enclosure. Toggling to Aegis keeps the internal machine identical and swaps only the packaging, which is the clearest demonstration that the two are one machine in two housings. The physics callouts, 26.49 T plug, 17 T throat, 5.44 percent neutron fraction, are unchanged between them.
