Follow the Work
A book is a snapshot. The work it describes is moving — new physics and machine-learning results were landing even as this book went to press, and more are coming. This page is how you keep reading after the last one, check anything in here for yourself, and reach the people doing it.
The durable record
Everything quantitative in this book is deposited open-access, with a permanent digital object identifier (DOI) so it can be found and cited long after any web address changes. The Deposits & DOIs catalog a few pages back lists each one, with a scan code beside it. Those deposits — not this book — are the canonical, checkable record. If a number here ever disagrees with the deposit, the deposit wins, and the standing-corrections note tells you so.
Start there — and start with the newest, largest artifact of all: the Physics De-Risking Register (Paper 1.0 of the Kronos 2026 series), the 164-gate verification dossier behind this book, published open-access at doi 10.5281/zenodo.22133057 and readable at `kronosfusionenergy.com/publications/de-risking-register`, with a live validator page for every gate and a 44-paper companion series behind it.
Then:
- The deposits catalog in this book gives every DOI, grouped by subject: AI and control, the breeder and spherical-tokamak physics, the burner and direct conversion, the magnets, and the materials work.
- The Simulation Register lists each headline result by ID, what it computes, and the evidence class behind it — so you can go from a sentence in the book to the exact deposited artifact that backs it.
How to check a claim
1. Find the number in the text. 2. Look it up by ID in the Simulation Register or by subject in the datasheets. 3. Follow that entry to its DOI in the deposits catalog. 4. Open the deposit and rerun it, or read the method and try to break it.
That is the whole loop, and it is open to anyone. This book was written to be argued with.
Where new results will land
As the 2025–2026 program results are finalized, they are published into the same open deposits, under the same DOIs scheme, and the running-corrections note in this book records any figure that moves. A reader who has this book and the deposits has everything needed to watch the plan meet reality, milestone by milestone.
Reach the work
This is the work of Kronos Fusion Energy. The design basis, the papers, and each new result are published open-access rather than held behind a wall, precisely so the argument can be checked and carried forward by people the author will never meet. The deposits catalog is the front door: every result in this book is reachable, and citable, through the DOIs listed there.
The point of all of it
One hundred percent of this book's profits go to The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. If you paid for this book, thank you — you funded sanctuary for elephants. If you were handed it for free, that was the intent: share it, whole and unaltered, with anyone who should read it. The physics wants to be checked, and the future it points at is not proprietary. Pass it on.

Reproducibility
Every headline number in this book regenerates from a named script and archived data under a fixed random seed, and is traceable to a binding gate in the open Physics De-Risking Register. Canon-locked to the ratified freeze of 2026-08-27; engineering program, no economics in the design record.
Glossary
- Spherical tokamak
- A compact, low-aspect-ratio magnetic-confinement device where the plasma hugs a central column; Hyperion is a spherical-tokamak breeder.
- Tandem magnetic mirror
- An open-ended linear device that confines plasma between high-field end plugs; the Aegis/MetroVolt burner is a deuterium-helium-3 tandem mirror.
- Negative triangularity (δ)
- A plasma cross-section whose D-shape points outward (δ = −0.30), suppressing edge instabilities.
- Tritium breeding ratio (TBR)
- Tritium bred per tritium burned; Hyperion's advanced blanket reaches 1.42 (self-sufficient with surplus).
- Scientific gain (Q)
- Fusion power divided by heating power; the breeder runs at Q 3.076.
- Engineering gain (Q_E)
- Net electric output over recirculating power; the burner runs at Q_E 1.318.
- Direct energy conversion (DEC)
- Recovering electricity straight from charged fusion products against biased grids — no steam cycle.
- REBCO
- A high-temperature superconductor tape used for Kronos's high-field magnets.
