Stellarator
A toroidal device that confines plasma with external coils alone, needing no plasma current.
A stellarator twists its magnetic field entirely with shaped external coils, so it needs no driven plasma current and does not disrupt. The trade is intricate coil geometry. Kronos does not use a stellarator, but the concept frames why the tokamak's plasma current matters.
