Quiescent H-mode
A high-confinement regime without large ELMs.
Quiescent H-mode sustains a strong edge pedestal without the large, damaging ELMs, using edge flows and modes to exhaust energy smoothly. It is one of several ELM-free regimes of interest for protecting the divertor.
