Actively-Cooled Heat Sinks

The cooled structures that carry heat away behind the armour.

Behind the plasma-facing armour, actively-cooled heat sinks (often CuCrZr) conduct heat into the coolant, keeping surface temperatures survivable. They are integral to first-wall and divertor components.
