Pfirsch–Schlüter Current

A pressure-driven current that flows to maintain equilibrium.

The Pfirsch–Schlüter current flows within the plasma to satisfy force balance in a torus, part of the neoclassical picture. It is a basic feature of toroidal equilibrium.
