Hot-Spot Temperature

The peak temperature reached at a quench site, which must stay bounded.

During a quench the local temperature must be kept below a limit to avoid damage; Kronos's adiabatic analysis reports the magnet as self-protecting within its design basis. Bounding the hot spot is the goal of quench protection.
