Fusion produces no long-lived high-level waste and no spent fuel. Its waste is activated structural material — metal made mildly radioactive by neutrons. Choosing low-activation steels keeps that material's radioactivity short-lived, decaying to hands-on levels in decades rather than millennia.

The breeder, being neutron-rich (79.7%), carries most of this; the burner far less (5.44%). Kronos screens activation and waste class per component rather than assuming the problem away.
