MIT Magnet Lab / Brookhaven

Fifty years designing record-setting magnets. He co-designed the Alcator C tokamak magnets at MIT's Francis Bitter National Magnet Laboratory and developed 20 T hybrid magnets and cryogenic superconducting systems at Brookhaven National Laboratory, and consulted for Commonwealth Fusion Systems on large-scale field-coil design.
