Simulation Software Engineer — Digital Twin & HPC
SoftwareFull-timeLos Angeles, CA (hybrid)
Build the compute substrate and software behind the twin — from HPC pipelines to the interactive open model.
About the role
Kronos runs on software: reproducible simulation pipelines, an HPC/GPU training substrate, a data fabric, and the public, explorable model. You'll build the systems that let physicists and engineers move fast and verify everything.
What you'll do
- Build reproducible simulation and data pipelines feeding the twin.
- Optimize HPC/GPU workloads for multi-physics and model training.
- Engineer the data fabric, feature store, and provenance/versioning.
- Ship the open, public-facing model and developer tools.
- Harden reproducibility (cold-repro runbooks, environment pinning).
- Partner with physics, controls, and materials teams.
What you bring
- Strong software engineering with scientific/HPC computing experience.
- Python plus performance-minded systems skills.
- Familiarity with GPU compute, containers, and CI.
- An open-source, reproducible-by-default mindset.
- Bonus: simulation, visualization, or digital-twin experience.
Compensation
Compensation discussed early in the process; California pay range provided on request.
