What it is
Instead of a point estimate with a heuristic confidence, conformal prediction returns an interval guaranteed to contain the true value with a chosen probability — with no distributional assumptions, valid in finite samples.
The method
Calibrate on held-out residuals; the interval width adapts to difficulty. It wraps any model — the GNN, the PINN, the disruption predictor — without retraining.
Why it matters
It upgrades "calibrated uncertainty" into a mathematical guarantee the MPC and the gating logic can rely on. Plugs into L3 as a wrapper on model outputs.
