Why should I trust the design-point numbers?
Because they're checkable. Kronos deposits its complete 81-analysis simulation record — code and data — openly under CC BY 4.0, so anyone can re-run the reduced-order engines and audit the numbers. It's the opposite of 'trust us.'
How do I know it's not cherry-picking?
Kronos maintains a ranked open-item register of what it cannot yet claim, pre-registers seven falsifiable predictions it commits to publish regardless of outcome, and declines the optimistic figures (like sub-$40/MWh cost) that others quote. Naming your own weaknesses is a strong credibility signal.
What if the predictions fail?
Then Kronos publishes the failure. The whole method is designed so the claims can be proven wrong at the gates — and so a negative result re-sizes or reshapes the design rather than being buried.
