The Gate Program (G1–G3)
Kronos advances through pre-registered gates, each retiring a specific risk. G1 tests confinement, G2 the magnet, G3 the fuel loop.

Kronos structures its development as a gate program: a sequence of decision points, each of which retires a specific, load-bearing risk with a real experiment before the company commits to the next stage. The gates carry the pre-registered predictions that make the program falsifiable.
- G1 — Confinement testbed. A sub-scale NT-ST (B_T = 3 T, R₀ = 0.85 m, ~$0.5 B, ~4 years) that measures the negative-triangularity confinement, the hot-ion posture, and the channeling proof-of-principle. It is the single most consequential gate.
- G2 — Magnet & peak field. Sustained ≥ 25 T conductor performance and the 24.6 T envelope.
- G3 — Fuel loop. > 95% single-pass direct internal recovery.
