Environment, safety & waste class.

Fusion has no runaway reaction, no long-lived actinide waste, and no CO₂. What is left is tritium handling and neutron-activated structure — and Kronos engineers both machines to keep those small.

Fusion's safety case is structural: the plasma holds only seconds of fuel, so there is no chain reaction to run away and no decay-heat meltdown path. What an honest environmental page must still address is tritium (the breeder's working fuel) and neutron activation (structure made radioactive by fast neutrons). Kronos addresses both, per machine.
