Openness and IP are not in tension here — Kronos deliberately splits them. The physics is published in full so it can be checked (the reproducible power balances, the closure results). The engineering that makes the machines buildable — chiefly the high-field superconducting magnet technology and the two-machine architecture — is the protected position.
This mirrors the design itself: the value is not in knowing that D–³He is clean (everyone knows that), but in the compact magnets and the breeder-first architecture that make a working generator practical. Specific filings and their status are available through the company rather than listed here.
