Could fusion power a ship or a spacecraft?
In principle, yes — fusion's extraordinary energy density is exactly what makes it attractive for applications where carrying fuel is costly, including marine propulsion and, in the longer term, space. A low-neutron, direct-conversion design is especially interesting there because it's compact and produces electricity directly.
Is that what Kronos is building?
No. Kronos focuses on firm power for the grid (MetroVolt) and resilient power for defense (AEGIS) on Earth. Propulsion is a plausible long-horizon application of the technology, not a current product.
Why start with stationary power?
Because that's where firm clean power is needed most urgently and where the economics work first. Mobile applications add constraints (mass, size) best tackled after the stationary design is proven.
