Location: On-Site / 20% Travel to Austin, TX or Los Angeles, CA
Position Type: Full-Time (6-Month Temp-to-Hire)


Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize algorithms for simulating plasma dynamics and energy conversion in fusion reactors.

  • Collaborate with physicists and engineers to translate scientific models into efficient computational algorithms.

  • Conduct performance analysis and refine algorithms to improve simulation accuracy and speed.

  • Document algorithm development processes and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in algorithm development, particularly in energy simulations or related fields.

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.

  • Experience with high-performance computing and simulation frameworks.
