Systems, methods, and storage media for improving fusion energy output by optimizing fusion generator components and processes are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: obtain sets of fusion generator operation information; train a machine-learning model with the obtained sets of fusion generator operation information such that the machine-learning model predicts physical behavior of one or more component of a chosen generator; store the trained machine-learning model; and identify, using the stored machine-learning model, one or more optimized parameter for the one or more component of a chosen generator.
