Martin Owens is a Board Advisor and Advanced Nuclear Reactors Specialist. Martin lives in New Mexico and is also Senior Director, Capital Project Execution Organization at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

In 1984, Martin graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
 

After graduating, he took a position as an Engineer and Project Manager at BWXT Nuclear Operations Group, Inc from 1985-2006. In 2007, Martin then accepted a position with AREVA Federal Services as Program and Project Manager for 8 years. In 2015, he was promoted to Project Director, directing, and managing Nuclear Reactor and Fuel Development Programs. During this time, he also received his Master of Business Administration and Global Management from Ashford University in 2016.
 

From 2019-2021, Martin worked as EPC Director for GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy International LLC, before moving into his current position in 2021 at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
