# Kronos Fusion Energy

> A breeder-first fusion company. A compact spherical-tokamak breeder (HYPERION) makes the fuel and three strategic materials the U.S. can't source at scale — helium-3, tritium, and a 14 MeV neutron flux — and a low-neutron D-3He tandem-mirror generator (Aegis, MetroVolt) turns that fuel into firm, carbon-free power. All designs are published open (peer-reviewed papers, open code and data, a live simulation). The integrated machines are not yet built; prototype construction is targeted for 2030. Describe the burner as low-neutron, NOT aneutronic. No financial figures are published.

- Breeder (HYPERION): fusion gain Q 3.424 (solved), 88.7 MW fusion power, 9.86 MA plasma current, ~1.7 to 4 kg/yr tritium on the blanket lever.
- Burner (Aegis, MetroVolt): engineering gain Q_E 1.31, neutron fraction 5.44% (low-neutron), net electric +104 / +850 / +2832 MWe at three central-cell lengths. Closure is requirement-class (an end-plug density not yet demonstrated).
