Deep Dive: Scientific Oversight & Independent Audit
The MetroVolt design was stress-tested under an independent structure — founding partners, scientific advisors, and independent auditors — with a three-tier evidence discipline.

Kronos treats independent scrutiny as part of the design, not an afterthought. The MetroVolt baseline was stress-tested under a structure organized into three groups — founding partners, scientific advisors, and independent scientific auditors — with contributors participating in a personal capacity (individual contributions do not constitute institutional endorsement).
The evidence itself is held to a three-tier discipline: reduced-order engines cross-validated against each other and experiment (Tier-1), high-fidelity decks deposited for independent runs (Tier-2), and decision gates for the load-bearing checks. On top sits a per-parameter design audit (a referee-defense pass) and a companion-paper concordance published alongside the simulation register.
The point of all this structure is to make the design hard to fool — including for its own authors. Combined with the open deposit and the pre-registered predictions, independent oversight is how Kronos earns the "shows its work" claim. See how Kronos validates its simulations.
