How many fusion plants would the world need?
The world uses electricity on the order of several terawatts and growing, and each gigawatt-scale plant supplies about one-thousandth of a terawatt. So making a real dent means deploying hundreds to thousands of units globally over decades — a fleet, not a handful of showcase reactors.
