About the Role

Government Contracting Specialist Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with other government agencies to ensure that all regulations are met
- Prepare proposals to sell goods or services to new clients or to increase business with existing clients
- Negotiate contracts with buyers on behalf of sellers to ensure that terms are fair and reasonable for both parties
- Develop and implementing contract administration procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Analyze bids and proposals to determine whether they meet legal requirements and are financially viable for the company
- Collect bids from multiple companies or individuals on a specific product or service and selecting the best offer based on price and other factors
- Review and analyze existing contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Review bids received from contractors to determine whether they meet the requirements of the government agency requesting the bid
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations to prospective clients
