Location: On-Site / 20% Travel to Austin, TX or Los Angeles, CA
Position Type: Full-Time (6-Month Temp-to-Hire)


Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research and development projects in plasma physics to advance our SMART fusion reactor technologies.

  • Develop and validate theoretical models for plasma confinement and behavior under varying conditions.

  • Design and oversee experiments to test and refine fusion energy concepts.

  • Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.


Qualifications:

  • PhD in physics, nuclear engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in plasma physics research, with a focus on fusion energy.

  • Expertise in both theoretical and experimental plasma physics.

  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing research teams.
