About the Role

Location: On-Site / 20% Travel to Austin, TX or Los Angeles, CA
Position Type: Full-Time (6-Month Temp-to-Hire)


Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced research in plasma physics and fusion energy sciences to support the development of our SMART fusion reactors.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to translate scientific discoveries into practical applications.

  • Develop and validate models for plasma behavior under varying conditions.

  • Publish findings and contribute to the broader scientific community in the field of fusion energy.


Qualifications:

  • PhD in physics, nuclear engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in fusion energy research, with a focus on plasma physics.

  • Strong background in theoretical and experimental plasma physics.

  • Proficiency in simulation tools and data analysis for fusion research.
