Sushma is a seasoned Strategy & Operations executive, boasting over 20 years of experience across diverse sectors such as public service, consulting, start-ups, and technology firms.
Currently, she holds the position of Global Head of Strategy and Operations at Google Payments, where she collaborates with her team to expand payment products worldwide in partnership with financial service ecosystem stakeholders. Additionally, Governor Newsom appointed Sushma as a member of the California Board of Environmental Safety, where she actively contributes to creating safer communities throughout the state.Prior to her current roles, Sushma devised growth strategies and spearheaded extensive transformations for various technology companies. She successfully launched a mobile marketplace start-up incubated within a Silicon Valley accelerator.
Sushma is well-versed in sustainability, having dedicated over a decade to public sector leadership. During this time, she played a pivotal role in developing and implementing award-winning environmental policies and programs for San Francisco.
Sushma's impressive educational background includes an MBA from UC Berkeley and a Master's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California. She is also a certified executive coach. Sushma resides in the SF Bay Area with her husband and two sons.
